New York Rangers Official App App Reviews

This new app version is absolutely terrible. Ive seen better applications from teenage developers in Guatemala. Whoever decided to change the old app, which was working excellent, should be fired!

I live in Detroit and am a huge Rangers fan. I used to use this Rangers app for the in-game alerts all throughout the season, it was my way of staying on top of the team because it instantly gave me score updates and highlights when I was at work or in class. I tried to download it again for this season, but it forces you to download the NHL app. I dont have enough memory on my phone for both and I dont want the NHL app! You would think that the NHL would be happy that a guy from Detroit is downloading both the Wings AND Rangers apps, but apparently thats not satisfying enough for them so they try and force you to get the NHL one. Nope, aint gonna do it. Thanks for ruining what was once good, dont fix whats not broken!!

This app is pointless now! It just opens the NHL app

Well, the once good NYR app is gone, replaced by the NHL app. This can only be something a dimwit like Gary Bettman could think up, forcing teams to use the leagues app. The NHL app is good for what its for but not for each individual team.

What happened? I dont even get Ranger game alerts with scores during games anymore! This used to be a great app last year? Change it back!

App is completely useless now. Only opens, then forces you to download NHL app. No thanks! Dont know why they would change anything, the app used to work perfectly! Uninstalling.

This is an NHL app not a Rangers app. This is horrible bring back old app.

This was such a great app the past few years and now all of a sudden it connects you to the NHL app. What is the point of even having this app ? I want the old app back along with 90% of these reviews!

Old app was so much better. Dont bother downloading, just use the NHL app now. Terrible.

(The 1 star is only because my review couldnt process with 0) The Rangertown app was great last year. It was proprietary & i felt like i was part of the "Ranger Family". Now, all the app does is redirect you to the NHL app which is generic, unfriendly, corporate &, well, GENERIC!! I WANT MY RANGERTOWN BACK!!!

So this app now just forces you into the NHL app, once you already have it which I already did. Whats the point of an app to simply open a second app? Waste of space, I just deleted it.

This is the worst overhaul of an app Ive ever seen. The Rangers app is now nothing more than a wrapper for the NHL app. This is absolute lazy garbage. I would expect more from the NHL.

Used to love using the rangers app to stay up to date with my team but now that it merged with the NHL app it lost some of the features, this was a horrible move

If I could only give 0 stars. New update is now just a waste of space, it just redirects you to the NHL app. Shouldve just left it the way it was. Deleting....

Went to update because I wasnt getting alerts. Ended up deleting the first app I ever downloaded on new phones. Completely broke and Im kind of happy I still have the old app on my iPhone 4s.

The point of having a team app is to keep up with your favorite team without reading about something were not interested in. Forcing users to use the NHL app makes the team app useless.

It just redirects you to the NHL app. I liked how on the rangers app you have exclusive footage/ highlights. But now its just regular stats for the rangers etc.

Dont waste your time.

This app really doesnt provide you with updates, I think the Rangers twitter account is better
